The birthday party must be making The Boy very popular at school. When I went in to pick him up today two of the little girls (INCLUDING TAYLOR WITH THE LONG HAIR)ran up and gave him big hugs! It was hysterical. He got this goofy look on his face and started rolling his eyes all over the place. He must have turned five shades of red too. They promised they were coming to his party then took me over to show me where Jayke's birthday was marked on the calendar. Jaykeb was the quietest I've ever heard him. I hope he talks to them at the party and doesn't clam up with shyness like he did today.
I think Gramma has some kind of condition that causes her to blurt out random facts. One day she was asking me about the candidates running for president. She was going through the list asking about each one..."Do you like Obama? Do you like McCain? Do you like Hillary?" then the next one was, "Do you like kiwi?" I just looked at her and racked my brain to figure out where that came from. She had the grocery ad near by so I'm guessing that she looked down and that just popped into her head.
Today I ran in the house after work to change clothes before taking out the garbage for the pickup tomorrow. I sat down in the living room to put my shoes on and as I stood to leave she all of a sudden says, "Yale is lowering their tuition." Blink, blink Okay, I will keep that in mind if I decide I need any further education. I told her she reminded me of someone with tourettes. She laughed. That's the good thing, she can find humor in her actions caused by her advanced age. I know I'm finding humor in her actions! In her defense, she does keep FOX News on at all times, muted most of the time, and reads the screen. I think this is where the Yale info came from. If you don't know where it is coming from it will really catch you off gaurd though.
Speaking of the garbage, I missed the the pickup last week and I think she is ready to fire me. She has been talking about changing the cleaning lady's day to Wednesday so she can get the trash hauled down to the curb. Geesh! I've only missed one day! There was also a lot of discussion about moving the huge cans around so that ours weren't next to the neighbors because they have stinky cans and she wants her own back instead of theirs...yadda...yadda...yadda. I just flat out said I was not going down to the end of that long driveway and rearranging all the trash cans in the freezing cold. I could just put them on the other side. She disappeared after that and I found her out in the garage putting furnace tape on the side of her cans so we could be sure to get the right ones back. You better believe that tomorrow when the neighbor takes the wrong cans home she will have me back there retrieving our "fresher" garbage cans.
