Tiny Bubbles

He's a Rock Star! He even has a back-up dancer!

Feline Lovin

I always thought he would be a "dog person" but now I'm not sure. He LOVES his cat! I wake up in the morning and Jaykeb has already gotten out of bed and gone and let Jesse in. I'm sure the dogs are enjoying there time off while the cat is center of attention! Check out that wild hair, on The Boy not the cat! Ever since the last hair cut we can't get the back to lay down and he kind-of rexembles a Puffin bird.

More Driving For Me

I understand the reasoning behind this, but I don't know if it makes me feel any better about it.

Great Plan

Muncie to celebrate 'Super Blue Friday'
THE STAR PRESS 5 Comments
MUNCIE — A Super Blue Friday celebration will held at Muncie City Hall in honor of the Indianapolis Colts going to the Super Bowl for the first time.Mayor Dan Canan will turn the river blue at noon Friday, and a Super Blue dessert sale will be conducted at 11 a.m. after judging of the best blue dessert starting at 10 a.m. First prize wins free tickets to Mardi Gras. Proceeds go to The Star Press Children’s Charities. The first 100 people who donate canned goods also will receive goody bags. Donations will benefit Muncie Mission.

Why would they do this on a week day during school hours? I would like to see the river turn blue though. Will those wonky-looking geese that live right there turn blue too? If they do will someone send me a picture? The best blue desert wins free tickets to a night of debauchery...I mean Mardi Gras. Wonder what is in those goody bags...

Wow!

6 hours of LIVE news coverage because of our couple of inches of snow this morning!

I was amused and entertained by this.

Buyer Beware!

I'm sure there are plenty of people who have these and are perfectly happy with them but let me warn anyone who is considering buying this brand of washer/dryer(Mom) DON'T DO IT!

Although I love how my clothes look after being washed in this washer, I have a laundry list of issues with this machine that largely outweighs the positives.
  1. The handle, made of cheap plastic, broke off about a year after we got the machine.
  2. After the handle broke Mike repeatedly tried to contact Whirlpool about the issue and 4 years later has yet to get an answer.
  3. The washer literally "eats" socks, underwear, washclothes, and other small items. You've heard people say their machine ate the missing sock...well, mine acutally does. I found said sock along with a couple pairs of my underwear, a bunch of Jayke's socks, and a couple of washclothes stuck up under the rubber gaurd around the door that keeps the water from running out. How long they have been there I have no idea. Let's just say it had been a while. The socks were now grey and ruined.
  4. Because of the clothing that was "lost" in the door, the washer began to have a musty smell that would sometimes transfer to the clothes.
  5. Occasionally the machine would just stop working and a print out would come up on the screen that said "sud". Now put the same amount of soap and clothing in that I always do so it shouldn't have a problem.
  6. The final issue on my list is the stupid thing is now totally broken. It won't run and the door is locked with a load of clothing sitting in the washer full of water! The hubs beat on it for a while last night but nothing happened so now I have to decide whether to get the beast fixed or just give up on the heap and buy a new one.
Whirlpool Duet owners beware! This could happen to you! I'm just glad it waited to conk out after I got my underwear washed! I'm good for a week now.

Happy February 1st Snow Day!

I took these pictures real quick this morning so I could show Mom. I hope to get some better ones later depending on what the weather decides to do.

Had to take the pictures from the door because you can bet your sweet bippy I wasn't going out in that first thing in the morning! All the neighbors are out taking pictures and playing in the white stuff they so seldom get to see. You would think this was my first time seeing it too. The woods behind my house is really pretty with the snow all over it!

Conversations With The Cherub

Me: What do you want for lunch today Jaykeb?

Jaykeb: You tell me what I can have.

Me: Grilled cheese?

Jaykeb: No

Me: PB&J?

Jaykeb: (rolling eyes) Here we go again!

Apparently my selection of delicious lunch fare is not up to par!

Winter Storm!

Ho. Lee. Crap! We may actually see some snow!

The news station is reporting that Lowes and Home Depot are running out of space heaters, firelogs, and other necessities for a winter storm. The groceries are running out of bread and milk! What to do, what to do?!? Okay...I'm not too worried about it. I did fill some coolers with ice though just in case we lose power...I don't want to lose all my groceries again like I did when we lived in Indiana and had a "real" ice storm. Fed and watered the dogs so they can hunker down for the night and ordered a gallon of "chockie milk" from hubs on his way home. I'm ready...bring it on!

Because it is a Neat photo...

....taken by Meemaw in her yard.

The Pooper Chart

In my efforts to potty train The Boy I made this...

The Super-duper Pooper Chart!

....he checks out the chart. He was very excited about the concept of the chart but said he was not going to use the potty though. We continued to discuss it as I explained how he would get stickers to put on his chart and a penny for the gumball machine every time he used the potty then when he had 7 stickers for the week(we are starting out slow)he would earn the toy listed at the end of the column and pictured at the bottom of the chart. He LOVED that idea! So I again explained that he had to actually sit and use the potty to get these stickers...

....starting to look a little more concerned about the whole thing...

...the results of our attempt on the potty. A tear-jerking, snot-flowing, craptastic fit! This is after we got him back into his jammies and back into the living room. Out of the bathroom dungeon and away from the porcelain throne from hell that no doubt will swallow his tiny bottom whole as soon as his tender cheeks touch the plastic on his Dora potty ring. He is talking/screaming to my mom on the phone who was attempting to help by way of speaker phone. Hopefully now after listening to the whole ordeal she has a better understanding of the battle I am in for with him and his training. Apparently such a fantastic fit as the one he pitched wears one out because as soon as he calmed himself down and ended his phone call he was off to sleepy town.

Whew! I don't know what it's going to take. Hopefully he will just magically decide one day that sitting in his own filth is disgusting and want to use the toilet. Until then I'm open to suggestions if you have any...by the way, we have tried, the potty chair, potty training his puppy, reading all the potty books, Daddy doing it, Grandma doing it, taking all his clothes off and letting him run around naked, having the neighbor kid show him how it's done and all the special products they've come out with for kids hygiene, none of which has worked. If you've got anything else...anything at all we will happily try it.

I'm a Sucker...

....for cute animal pictures and this one is adorable! Mom...does this remind you of anything? Comments about your hair maybe? It does me and I'm cwacking up!

Colts fans

Everyone is getting ready for the big game!

Who are You Rooting For?

Obviously my friend, Angi, and her family are for the Colts as am I! 5 more days until the superbowl, sportsfans! Do you have your plans made? I do. Mike, Jayke, and I watching football in the living room. Can't get more exciting than that. I have "football food" all planned and purchased and ready to go. Tell me what your plans for the superbowl are!

Fantastic Quote!

"All women should know how to take care of children. Most of them will have a husband some day." -Franklin P. Jones ...no truer words ever spoken!

If You Don't Do It, I Will!!!

Woohoo! I am so excited! I just created a blog for Angi! She hasn't even seen it yet and doesn't even know I did it. Now we will just have to see if she uses it. I figure if my friends won't jump into bloggerland with me on their own I will give them a shove! So her blog is up and ready to roll! It is listed in my blogroll as "All About Us" or you can just click HERE! I only had one picture with her kids in it so I posted it...it has been on my blog already. I'm counting on her to start putting her own pics up. Come on Angi...you can do it! Kim and AJ you are next!

All Right All You Queens...

Take this quiz...I already know what some of you will score...AJ...

You Are a Drama Princess (or Prince)

You're not over the top dramatic, but you have your moments.
You know how to steal the spotlight...
And how to act out to get your way.

People around you know that you're good for a laugh.
But at times, your drama gets a bit too much for everyone.
Tone it down a tad, and you'll still be the center of attention.

I wish I could...

....fall asleep any where, any time like Jaykeb. Here he sleeps on the bench at the foot of the bed.

Almost on the back of the couch snuggled in a pile of clean laundry I was just about to fold. So much for that.

in the middle of the floor where the kitchen and living room meet. He was obviously driving cars and just fell asleep.

Sitting up on the couch watching tv. Okay, I have probably done this one before. I guess when you are tired you are tired. When you need to sleep, you sleep. Must be nice.

February 4th!

2007 Super Bowl XLI Colts vs. Bears!
2007 Super Bowl XLI
ItchMyStitches.com

I really can't wait! I'm not a big football fan but I do like the Colts ever since I went to see them play in person a couple of times. The results to the poll I had up were 100% in favor of the Colts winning the Superbowl by the way. Let's hope those who voted were correct! Go Colts! Thanks, AJ, for the graphic on the myspace page.
